TO ROUND UP THE EVENTS FOR THE YEAR, WE HOSTED IMA FESTIVAL 2023. A 2-DAY EVENT WITH AN OPEN EXHIBITION, ARTIST TALKS AND A FILM FESTIVAL.
THE AIM? TO CREATE AN EVENT THAT BRINGS CREATIVES FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS TOGETHER.
THE EXHIBITION
IMA Festivals second exhibition explores the theme of Transience through a variety of work from multiple disciplines.
Derived from the latin word transiēns, meaning ‘to pass over or away’, transience refers to the impermanence of life and experience. In nature, when cherry blossoms fall, they paint the streets in a layer of pink. their beauty can be admired for days but will eventually fade.
The exhibition featured work from a diverse range of perspectives in response to the theme of transience.
aRTIST TALKS
We hosted our first ‘IMA Talks’! Each speaker responded to the theme ‘Never Work a Day in Your Life’ and offered insights from industry professionals on how they have turned their craft into a career that they love.

iMA FILM FESTIVAL
To conclude the weekend, we wanted to celebrate filmmakers by showcasing their work on the big screen. We had a range of imaginative and engaging films that brought together a community that shares a love for cinema.

WHERE WAS IT?
FarGo is an artistically re-purposed industrial space in Coventry City Centre, designed exclusively for creative, independent businesses and like-minded visitors. Opened in 2014, Fargo Village has become the home to an eclectic mix of over 40 independent businesses.
